This is a superior design to the popular 25-pin alternatives because the pins are molded into the insert. They won’t push back and we’ve never seen one bend. For that reason, we highly recommend this type of cable.
You can differentiate this thermocouple cable from the heater cable because the male and female connectors are on opposite ends and the cable has a smaller diameter. However, this can be confused for a heater cable if turned around. That’s why some molders will use a dual-latch hood instead of a single latch.
This design overcomes the most common problems with hot runner connections including pushed back or bent pins, pushed back inserts, high amp deterioration, loose or broken latches, and missing or loose ground wire connections.
